During the day, Lesley Taylor Groff allegedly organised, supervised and paid Jeffrey Epstein’s young victims but on one evening in 2009 she was photographed dancing on a bar decorated with bras.
These recently uncovered images of Epstein’s longtime assistant came as the US Virgin Islands this week demanded Groff produce documents relating to the dead pedophile’s abuse of young women.
Attorney-General Denise George ordered Groff to hand over the names of every masseuse, every woman who flew to Little St James Island and all individuals who lived in one of Jeffrey Epstein’s properties.
The US Virgin Islands also wants an accounting of the money paid to Epstein’s masseuses.
The photos of Groff were taken in New York in December 2009 during a visit to the city by her mother, Diana Wright.
The mother-of-one spent the evening at the Coyote Ugly-themed saloon bar with her mother and step-father Randy Wright.
It’s alleged by the US Virgin Islands officials that Groff is part of Epstein’s criminal conspiracy.
She lives in a Republican foothold in Connecticut and donated $2600 in 2014 to a Democrat congresswoman who represents the US Virgin Islands.
Groff handed $2600 to Representative Stacey Plaskett. This is the politician who faced media heat about returning her Jeffrey Epstein donations.
Lesley Groff came into Epstein’s world as a secretary. She said in a 2005 interview, she would answer Epstein’s phone and manage his schedule, which led to a bond between the two.
She was quoted as saying they were “mind-melded” and Groff spent at least two decades working for the sex offender.
Groff is listed as a coconspirator, along with Sarah Kellen and Nadia Marcinko, in the controversial 2008 Epstein non-prosecution deal.
Her name also features in allegations in several civil cases.
Epstein survivor Sarah Ransome told The New York Times, Groff communicated directly with her, “repeating Mr. Epstein’s promises to help her obtain a fashion degree.”
She also monitored the “rules” the teens and young women were meant to comply with while being trafcked by Epstein, court documents said.
Her name crops up in several other civil court cases. The most recent claims made public are by Jane Doe 1001, where Groff is mentioned as a coconspirator.
In a statement sent to TheWrap, Groff’s attorney Michael Bachner denied Lesley had engaged in any misconduct when she worked for Epstein.
“As an executive assistant to Epstein, Lesley worked as part of a professional staff that included in-house attorneys, accountants, an office manager and other office staff,” he said.
At no time during Lesley’s employment with Epstein did she ever engage in any misconduct,” Mr Bachner said.
