Prosecutors are also asking a judge to open an inquiry into the man’s statements.

Meanwhile, the journalist who first ran the juror’s story is doubling down on her decision to run the interview.

While Lucia Osborne-Crowley has not answered our questions, she uploaded a series of statements to her Instagram.

Here are our questions:

Maxwell, a 60-year-old Brit, was found guilty last week in New York City on five of six counts relating to child sex trafficking.

The Maxwell juror Scotty David

The juror, Scotty David, said he told fellow jurors that, like some of Epstein’s victims, he had been abused as a child.

Maxwell’s lawyers maintained this could be grounds for a new trial.

Ghislaine Maxwell will likely spend the next years in prison, but it is unclear what will now happen next with her case.

“I know what happened when I was sexually abused. I remember the colour of the carpet, the walls. Some of it can be replayed like a video,” he said he told the jury, according to The Independent. “But I can’t remember all the details, there are some things that run together.”

He told the news agency Reuters: “When I shared that, they were able to sort of come around on, they were able to come around on the memory aspect of the sexual abuse.”

The key issue appears to be whether Mr David disclosed his history of sexual abuse to the court.

The juror said he “flew through” the questionnaire used before trial to screen whether prospective jurors could judge Maxwell fairly.

But he said he did not recall being asked about his experiences of sexual abuse. He added that he would have answered the questions honestly.

Prosecutors wrote to the court asking for a further examination of the juror’s comments.

“The government has become aware that a juror has given several interviews to press outlets regarding his jury service in this case,” the US attorney’s letter said.

“In particular, the juror has described being a victim of sexual abuse. Assuming the accuracy of the reporting, the juror asserted that he ‘flew through’ the prospective juror questionnaire and does not recall being asked whether he had been a victim of sexual abuse, but stated that ‘he would have answered honestly’.”

Judge Alison Nathan responded on by giving the defence two weeks to file their motion for a new trial “in light of the issues raised in the parties’ letters”.

Transcript of Prince and the Pervert Podcast episode.

A global criminal conspiracy, a prince, a jailed socialite and a billionaire, who may or may not have been murdered. Welcome to the world of the Jeffrey Epstein, the Prince and the Pervert Podcast. Journalists Lisa and Jen bring you the ultimate deep dive.

Hello and welcome to the Prince and the pervert podcast. My name is Lisa Tait and my co host, Jen Tarran.
How are you today? I’m great, Lisa.

We’re here to update everyone about the developments in the Ghislaine Maxwell case. That’s right.

Just when we thought it was over, Jen stupidity. The more we look this case, I think we’ll go on for a very long time.

Ghislaine Maxwell Retrial

Because regardless of what happens, there will be appeal after appeal.
Correct? Yes.

And on that. am also going to be updating you on Prince Andrew and how he thinks the law in America should be changed to save him; special.

Andrew is special, so make way victims.

He’s going to barge his way through.

It’s a bit of a circus, this whole Prince Andrew thing.

Well, considering I just read an article in The Economist, Darling, and what it said was the monarchy, the hereditary monarchy.

It relies on the consent of the people to operate

But yet here we have a case where he allegedly disregarded someone else’s right to consent.

So much irony it is,

isn’t it?

So I think when you’ve grown up in that environment,

Ghislaine Maxwell Retrial

Jen, you really think it’s my way or the highway and you get used to being able to push people around.

But what do his lawyers have left?

Because the judge who hasn’t yet at the time of recording made a decision, the judge Lewis Kaplan,

he seemed as though he wasn’t taking on board many of the things that Andrew’s lawyer was saying.

For starters,

Andrew is trying to use that 2000 and nine settlement agreement.

That Virginia Giuffre signed after she got state ordered compensation.

Have you read the language in that document from the beginning of the world?

Did a Scientologist write

that document? Oh,

I would love that.

You know, I’m obsessed with Scientology.

So perhaps they did Jen.

Or was it dirt?

Who is the author of that settlement agreement?

I’d love to know.

Now when she says Dersh,

Ghislaine Maxwell Retrial

she means Alan Dershowitz,

who was Epstein’s lawyer,

Trump’s lawyer,

OJ’s lawyer.

But Virginia did also alleged he assaulted her,

which he denies,

and she has a civil case against him at the moment.

He spent six months trying to get it dismissed as well,

using this settlement to and then he countersued her when he realised it wasn’t going to work.

So his name actually did come up in court yesterday during the hearing.

So fascinating.

Dershowitz is never far from this.

But,

Jen,

Do you want to take us through what is going on with Scotty the Juror and the Ghislaine Maxwell case?

Well, Scotty went and posted on his instagram about being one of the jurors.

Now Lisa and I found that INSTAGRAM post and decided because we are journalists, we have ethics, and in Australia we can’t interview jurors.

So we left at the hell alone. But of course, somebody else found it. Do no harm.

And unfortunately, Scotty has been doing some harm because Ghislaine Maxwell’s team has jumped on it, demanding that that means she needs a new trial.

He’s a self described survivor and spoke to journalists about how he spoke to the other jurors about his abuse and how you should trust survivors in how the survivor stories in this case rang true to him due to his own life experience.

Ghislaine Maxwell Retrial

Now that’s what jurors do. They explain their feelings or their belief or whatever based on their own life experience, a panel appears.

The big question is what he wrote on Question 48 in the questionnaire.

Now that was a question about have you been sexually assaulted or members of the family or people you know?

Ghislaine Maxwell Retrial

He has said he doesn’t remember what he put down or if he skipped that.

But that doesn’t matter. If he skipped that, why wasn’t it picked up that he was a survivor when it came to questioning him in court?

Ghislaine Maxwell Retrial

Quite frankly, if he didn’t write anything in that box, it’s up to Maxwell’s team to question him.

They obviously thought bloke he wouldn’t be a survivor and went on their merry way as we spoke well before the trial.

When they first released the various questionnaires and avoid a deer. as I prefer to say, it was obvious that G Max’s team was trying to rid the jury of any survivors.

It’s on their own heads that a survivor went through and was impanelled on that jury.

That’s not a reason for a new trial in my belief, so as journalists. And we’ve been reporting on the Epstein case now for 2.5 years, and we’ve had a lot of exclusives.

Although Jen, we’ve never branded them worldwide exclusives. Should we do that from now on?

I think we should, though. Everybody keeps stealing our exclusives and they become their exclusives but whatever.

And we said it will be new stories and social media and here we go straight away.

I just want to say two things. Journalists and jurors. This is not about you, and I’d like to add again, do no harm.

Now I’ve contacted Lucia, but I haven’t heard back from her yet.

Ghislaine Maxwell Retrial

But I did ask her some questions,

How do you feel that the survivors are really upset about this? I’ve heard nothing yet, but I’ve also asked her agent.

Well, that’s a good idea.

She may not have realised the implications of talking with this juror.

She may not have had a clue, but she’s a lawyer. She’s got a law degree.

As a journalist myself, there have been times where I have gotten. Jen, you’re always pulling me back, aren’t you?

Well, So I’ll be the first to admit sometimes I get carried away by the momentum of a story, but we try and do no harm.

We do, and that’s why we saw his post and just went We’re not touching that.

We do not wish to add to the trauma. So he’s got a lawyer now. Scotty the juror? Well yes.

And that lawyer He represented Anna Delvey, who was the woman that scammed everyone. She said she was like an heiress, and she went through the New York scamming everyone for holidays, and she went to all the parties and lived in hotels.

She was a cracker of a story that one.

Amazing. She’s out now. Really? Yes,

Scotty. The jurors got the same lawyer as her, which I find fascinating.

But see the government. The prosecution jumped on this immediately and put up a docket stating that there needed to be an inquiry about this.

Of course, Ghislaine’s Team came straight back going.

Oh, no need for an inquiry.

We should just It’s a mistrial straight away.

She needs a new trial, so they have taken advantage of Scotty talking. M Scotty probably spoke out in good faith, spoke out because it was important to him as a survivor.

But it’s caused so much damage, hopefully as the judge had already told the jurors that they could talk just to be careful.

Hopefully, she’s just going to ignore GMax’s issues, but it will come down to his answer.

Juror number 50 as Scotty was known. M His answer on question 48 whether or not he filled that incorrectly and admitted to being a survivor himself or skip that question if he lied on that question, then there’s going to be problems.

But it also comes down to G. Max’s team, not picking up in direct questioning that he was a survivor because they tried to avoid having any survivors on that jury.

A jury is supposed to be your peers Now. Sexual assault is so rampant in our society that at least three people in a group of 12 would be survivors. So honestly, kicking out all survivors on a jury panel isn’t giving up here group.

And also, Jen, do you think that Scotty is also overestimating the influence he had on the jury?
