The Homes of Ghislaine Maxwell Sex Trafficker

The Homes of Ghislaine Maxwell: Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell now lives in a jail cell, but her estranged husband is now selling their marital abode near Boston.

Scott Borgerson is listing for sale the former love nest at Manchester-By-The-Sea at more than $7million.

“She was here years ago, but actually left when this thing started to rear its ugly head — her situation from conduct decades ago,” Borgeson told The Wall Street Journal of Maxwell.

The Metropolitan Detention Center is a long way from the grand mansions 60-year-old Maxwell has previously called home.

They include:

  • Headington Hill Hall, Oxford
  • Jeffrey Epstein’s New York Mansion
  • Maxwell’s Manhattan Town Home
  • The London Mews House
  • Her New York Penthouse (rumoured to have been bought for her by billionaire Ted Waitt)
  • Manchester-By-the-Sea historic home
  • The New Hampshire property where she was arrested in 2020.

The Manchester by the Sea property, owned by her estranged husband, is one of many places where Maxwell has laid her head over the years.

Headington Hill Hall: “The Best Council House in the Country”

Homes of Ghislaine Maxwell

Ghislaine’s fraudster father Robert Maxwell leased the building from Oxford Council for 32 years, for use as a residence and offices. He described it as the “best council house in the country.”

It was the scene of many an ostentatious party and Sunday lunches where the man of the house would verbally abuse everyone at the table.

What’s not to like?!?!

It’s now part of Oxford University.

Jeffrey Epstein’s Creepy Mansion in Manhattan

Maxwell’s distinctive interior design is also apparent in Epstein’s den of depravity at East 71st Street.

She lived there from about approximately 1992 until she later moved in 2000 to her own house nearby at 116 East 65th Street.

This house previously belonged to Lyn Forrester de Rothschild, who was the person who introduced Epstein to lawyer Alan Dershowitz. (Well that’s what Dersh told the Epstein Netflix documentary.)

Maxwell bought the home in 2000 for just under $million and sold it in around 2015 for $17million.

Maxwell really went to town here with her interesting decor choices.

The Beaux Arts-style property, which dates back to 1910 and is located between Park and Lexington Aves., has 12 rooms, including six bedrooms, nine wood-burning fireplaces, an elevator, a media room and library with a built-in projector and surround sound, a home office, a chef’s kitchen with granite countertops, and a landscaped garden.

If you want to know who Maxwell really is, this house is the physical representation.

I am not a psychologist, but I know ugly when I see it.

Her UK base was in one of the best spots in London, in Belgravia. It’s also across the road from a pub and walking distance to Hyde Park.

This was the residence where Virginia Roberts Giufree said she was assaulted by Prince Andrew on March 10, 2001.

Maxwell sold it recently to pay her legal fees. A UK property developer bought it at a discount at for £1.75million.

New York Penthouse (rumoured to have been bought for her by billionaire Ted Waitt)

This is a story we were told by the comic Tom Arnold. According to him, Maxwell briefly lived in the penthouse once owned by Rupert Murdoch (she was there for possibly days in 2011).

Waitt quickly offloaded the property.

Here’s where the story gets depressing. It turns out Waitt bought the property for his girlfriend?and the couple broke up one week after closing. While we would’ve hung onto the apartment, Waitt apparently felt differently. He’s found a buyer, according to the Observer.

Is this the reason for the break up? It seems 2011 was not Maxwell’s year.

Maxwell soon rebounded into the arms of a married former coast guard officer, Scott Borgerson.

She bunked down with him in an historic mansion in Manchester-By-the-Sea, much to the annoyance of their neighbours.

The local disputes flared into legal action in 2020, which was also not Maxwell’s best year.

Because she was arrested.

Maxwell and Borgerson renovated the property and he said the work was at a cost of $2.5million.

Check this out. It’s Ghislaine’s penchant for red again. This time demonstrated through earrings and a coral lamp.

Tucked Away: Homes of Ghislaine Maxwell

This is where our story of privilege and luxury ends because Maxwell was arrested here in 2020, near Bradford New Hampshire.

She bought the house in December 2019 using a fake name and told the agent she was a journalist.

Like it’s namesake, the $1million property was well and truly tucked away.

I wonder if she misses it?

Ghislaine Maxwell Husband Scott Borgerson Has Her Mystery $20million

Ghislaine Maxwell Husband Scott Borgerson: Who is Ghislaine Maxwell’s mystery man, the reputed husband of five years?

Update January 2022: Scott Borgerson was s no-show at his wife’s trial. There are reports they may be divorcing.

What does this estrangement mean for her money in their family trust? Borgerson reportedly has a new partner and lives in a palatial, $2million mansion near Boston.

When arrested in July 2020, the former socialite refused to tell Pre-Trial Services the identity of her “spouse.” She told authorities she was in the process of getting a divorce.

News emerged that her ”husband” was Boston-based ocean cargo entrepreneur Scott Borgerson.

Maxwell told the court she didn’t previously identify him because she wanted to protect him and his family from the media.

It’s too late for that now. The cat is truly out of the bag about their relationship.

Court documents showed Ghislaine Maxwell Husband Scott Borgerson Had Her $20million.

Moreover, he has control of a trust where Maxwell has parked her estimated $20million fortune.

Now this is where it gets fascinating: Borgerson has reportedly moved on from his marriage and now has a new girlfriend.

So what now about the money?

The 46-year-old cargo entrepreneur is a former coast guard officer, a father-of-two and holds a PhD.

He owns a mansion outside of Boston and Maxwell lived with him for several years before moved alone to her home New Hampshire.

But the relationship was shrouded in secrecy. Ghislaine’s brother Ian Maxwell said he found out about the marriage with the rest of the world in 2019.

Whether they were even still together was remaining a mystery, as the FBI stated Maxwell and Borgerson had not spoken on the phone for months before she was arrested.

Who is Ghislaine Maxwell Husband

She told the court also planned to live with someone other than Scott Borgerson in New York, if she was granted bail.

“The fact that the defendant’s spouse has only now come forward to support the defendant should be afforded little weight given that he refused to come forward at the time of her arrest.

While a friend’s desire to avoid publicity may be understandable, a spouse’s desire to distance himself in that manner—particularly when coupled with the defendant’s inconsistent statements about the state of their relationship—undermine her assertion that her marriage is a tie that would keep her in the United States.”

In a letter to US District Judge Alison Nathan, Borgerson said: “The person described in the criminal charges is not the person we know. I have never witnessed anything close to inappropriate with Ghislaine.

This is especially relevant when it comes to his wife of 40 years, Dr Elisabeth Maxwell.

Looking from a 2021 perspective, it appears she was totally obsessed with her husband, to the extent of being brain-washed.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s Parents

But at the same time, her submission might have been a coping mechanism due to living under the iron-fist of a tyrant.

In a beautifully-crafted piece in The Guardian, Libby Brooks wrote of Elisabeth: “It was in the liberated Paris of 1945 that she met the freshly decorated soldier who was to become her life partner.

The daughter of wealthy Huguenots, Elisabeth was studying law at the Sorbonne when she encountered the newly monikered Robert Maxwell, an Allied fighter born into grinding poverty on the Carpathian mountainside.”

The Maxwells had had nine children, two sadly died before reaching adulthood.

Ghislaine Maxwell Parents

In my opinion, Robert Maxwell was a bloated, bubbling mix of various psychological issues: war trauma, sociopathy (the stealing), narcissism (ego) and psychopathy (potential war crimes).

Of Maxwell, Tanya Gold wrote: “It is the story of a man who hated himself so much for survival he could not, for 40 years, admit to his Jewishness, or to his childhood name. It is possible he even forgot he was once called Ludvik Hoch.

He invented modern British scientific publishing but had fake book spines in his study.

His mother was adoring and his father abusive: Stalin’s family dynamic, precisely, one designed to cultivate suspicion in a child.”

Elisabeth said it was her husband’s wish to replicate his large family of origin because almost all of his Czech relatives were murdered by Nazis.

There’s no doubt he brutalised his own family, emotionally and physically, including his wife.

Dr Maxwell was determined to “earn” her husband’s love.

“I want to live for you, I want to drown my soul in your desires,” she wrote.

You will only need to say what you want and it will be done, or to express a desire and I will satisfy it. Perhaps you will discover that the half-flayed created you have stripped naked still deserves to be loved.”

The Maxwell marriage reads like a nightmare, where she was able to accept his abuse with good nature and blame herself for his shortcomings.

“In order to retain his love, I was prepared to abandon my own personality completely,” she wrote.

Brooks writes of Elisabeth’s complete subordination to her tyrannical husband:

“Despite his infidelities, despite his manifest cruelties, it was safer not to surrender her love. And her own willingness to be dominated perhaps explains her passive collusion in the treatment of her children,” she wrote.

She wrote how she emulated it when she disciplined her own children.

Ian, at 15, the choice of taking ‘three of the best’ from herself or waiting till his father came home. ‘After momentary reflection, he decided to take the beating from me … I hated doing it and needed all the courage I could muster to perform such a hated punishment with the twins’ riding crop.’
